DARKBEACON GUIDE
Troubleshoot unexpected device behavior
Isolate calibration, key, lighting, screen, power, or connection symptoms with one reversible check at a time.
Applies to: Blade keyboards (61, 68, 84, 87, and 100), Flux keyboards (61, 68, 84, 87, and 100), Flux 68, Flux 84, and Flux 87 regional models, Devil Breaker and related keyboards, Steampunk, Other supported wireless keyboards shown in the App
Symptoms
Keys trigger unexpectedly, calibration is uneven, lighting or screen content is wrong, wireless sleep or wake is unreliable, or a connection mode behaves differently from USB.
Applies to
Use this guide after confirming that the App detects the correct supported model. Begin from USB and a known-good profile whenever possible.
Low-risk checks
Start with the specific symptom
Use Single-key troubleshooting for one unresponsive key, Settings and profile troubleshooting for missing settings, or Connection modes for wireless pairing. Continue below when the symptom crosses several settings or is not yet isolated.
Compare one setting at a time
- Record the selected device, connection, onboard slot, local profile, and the one visible symptom.
- Return to USB, select a known-good profile, and check whether the symptom remains before changing settings.
- For key behavior, restore one affected key to ordinary mapping and a moderate actuation point; disable its Rapid Trigger or advanced behavior temporarily.
- For uneven travel, check free key movement and follow Calibrate Hall-effect key travel if calibration is appropriate for the model and symptom.
- For lighting or screen symptoms, choose a default static resource and moderate brightness; stop any interactive effect.
- For power or wake symptoms, restore the default idle timeout and test one sleep cycle over the normal wireless mode.
- For connection symptoms, test USB, then only the single Bluetooth slot or matching 2.4G receiver in question.
Recovery steps
Keep the smallest change that removes the symptom, then rebuild settings one at a time. Restore the exported profile if several related settings became uncertain.
Stop conditions
Stop if a key is physically stuck, the device becomes hot, smells unusual, loses power, disconnects repeatedly, or the same symptom remains under a default profile on stable USB. Do not use update or reset as an unverified guess.
