Applies to
Steps
- Download the latest installer for your supported computer from the official DarkBeacon software page.
- Open the installer and complete the guided installation.
- Connect the device directly with its USB data cable. Avoid a hub during first setup.
- Start the App. Create an account or sign in only when the page or feature requires an account.
- Wait for the device card and any initialization message to finish, then open the device card.
- Confirm that the displayed model matches the device in front of you. Follow any visible initialization guidance.
- If several devices are connected, return to the device list and select another card. Save unfinished changes before switching.
- Use only the settings the App shows. A device capability (A feature that the current device, firmware, connection, and state actually allow) depends on the model, firmware, connection, and current state.
- To uninstall, use the standard application removal for your system: Apps or Programs and Features on Windows, or the Applications folder on macOS. Removing the App does not by itself delete cloud content; review account controls separately if you also want cloud data removed.
Confirm success
The App starts normally, the current-device area shows the correct model, applicable settings appear, and no disconnected or unsupported warning remains.
Save result
Connecting or selecting a device does not change its settings. Follow the save action in each settings guide before leaving a device.
Limits and cautions
The App can identify supported mice, but this knowledge-base version does not yet include detailed mouse controls.
Recovery
If the device is absent, close its settings page, reconnect the data cable once, and wait for a complete detection cycle. If it remains absent, stop repeated reconnects and submit the visible model, OS, and message through support.
