DARKBEACON GUIDE
Run basic software troubleshooting
Restart cleanly, update the App, isolate conflicting RGB or hotkey software, and use reset only after preserving the current profile.
Applies to: DarkBeacon App, Blade keyboards (61, 68, 84, 87, and 100), Flux keyboards (61, 68, 84, 87, and 100), Flux 68, Flux 84, and Flux 87 regional models, Devil Breaker and related keyboards, Steampunk, Other supported wireless keyboards shown in the App
Symptoms
The App or the device behaves incorrectly only while certain software is running, a setting does not apply, shortcuts are intercepted, or the problem began after an application or firmware change.
Applies to
Use these checks after confirming stable USB power and the correct device card. Preserve the current profile before any reset.
If the App cannot find the keyboard, use Device detection troubleshooting. If settings disappear or the wrong profile is active, start with Settings and profile troubleshooting. For an interrupted firmware update, follow Update failure recovery.
Low-risk checks
- Save or export the current profile, close the App, reconnect the keyboard once, and reopen the App.
- Follow App settings and updates to install an offered official App update, then test before changing firmware.
- Fully exit other RGB controllers such as SignalRGB, Artemis, or Razer Chroma during comparison.
- Exit hardware suites such as Corsair iCUE, Lian Li software, or Logitech G HUB when they can control lighting or USB devices.
- Disable overlays, hotkey tools, and game settings that can capture combinations, such as NVIDIA overlay shortcuts or a game option that disables the Windows key.
- Test the same key and profile in a plain text field and then in the intended application.
- If ordinary checks fail and the exact model supports a reset, follow Restore factory defaults for the supported method and verification steps.
Recovery steps
Re-enable other software one application at a time to identify the conflict. Restore the exported profile after a reset, then add settings gradually.
Stop conditions
Stop before using an undocumented reset, another device's shortcut, an unofficial update, or repeated update attempts. Stop if the device disconnects during a reset or update.
Contact support
