Configure Rapid Shot (RS)
Pair two harmless test keys, verify pressure priority and the default full-travel behavior, then save or remove the setting safely.

What you will accomplish
Configure Rapid Shot (RS) (A two-key behavior that gives output priority to the selected key pressed farther) for two harmless test keys and verify which key has priority as their travel crosses over.

Steps
- Export or duplicate the current profile. Choose two harmless test keys that do not close an application, submit a form, or trigger a shortcut.
- Open Advanced Keys, choose Rapid Shot (RS), and select exactly two keys.
- Leave Dual bottom-out at its default for the first test. Finish the binding and leave other advanced settings unchanged.
- Press and release each key by itself. Confirm that each still produces its own assigned action.
- Hold the first key partway, press the second key farther, and observe the change in priority. Reverse the crossover and then release both keys.
- Press both keys to full travel together. Dual bottom-out is on by default, so both keys produce output in that state. Turn the option off only when you do not want that result.
- Repeat on the intended layer. Changing layers releases the current winner; return both selected keys fully to rest before testing the destination layer.
- Select Save to keyboard only after single-key input, overlap, crossover, full travel, release, and layer change all behave predictably.
RS with RT, remapping, and empty outputs
RT changes when each member counts as active; RS still compares their travel to choose a winner. A partial release can remove a key from consideration, and re-pressing can make it eligible again. A winner change can start or end the assigned output without either finger leaving the keyboard.
Dual bottom-out is an important exception to a one-winner expectation: when on, both enabled members can act at full travel, including with RT configured. Turn it off for a test that should allow only one winner, then compare partial release and re-press with both keys starting at full travel.
Ordinary keyboard remapping changes what the winner outputs, not the physical pair or its pressure-priority rule. Clear Key Value leaves no output but does not stop that key winning and suppressing its partner. Disable prevents the disabled member from participating, including in Dual bottom-out. Removing the RS assignment, not merely restoring a mapping, recovers independent keys.

Confirm success
Each key works alone, the farther-pressed key has priority during ordinary overlap, both keys produce output at full travel unless Dual bottom-out is turned off, and releasing both keys returns input to neutral.
Save result
Editing changes the current working configuration. Save to device (Store the current settings on the device so they remain after the App disconnects or power is restored) through the App's Save to keyboard action to keep the setting after reconnecting or restoring power.
Limits and cautions
Recovery
Release both selected keys. Remove the Rapid Shot binding to recover independent keys, restore ordinary mappings if needed, test them separately, and use Save to keyboard again. A factory reset is not the first recovery step.
