DARKBEACON GUIDE
Manage key sound albums and Rhythm Challenge
Browse official and personal sounds, apply an album safely, organize owned content, and practice without changing device bindings.
Applies to: DarkBeacon App
What you will accomplish
Use the Key Sound page to browse Official Sounds and My Sounds, apply an available album, and use Rhythm Challenge as a separate practice activity.
Applies to
Steps
- Open the connected device and select Key Sound.
- Use Official Sounds for built-in or purchased choices. Use My Sounds for content owned by the current account, including eligible saved creations and community copies.
- Open an album and preview it before applying. Check the album name, available members, target device, and every action the App enables.
- Apply the album to a copied profile. Review individual key assignments and clear any sound you do not want.
- Rename or remove a My Sounds album only from its visible menu. Read the confirmation: removing an album from the library does not necessarily remove an already applied configuration.
- To practice, open Rhythm Challenge. Keep the fixed A, S, D, F, J, K, L, and semicolon controls, choose a built-in score or Free practice, and assign sounds independently for the activity.
- Start the challenge and follow the highlighted keys. Rhythm Challenge is game-only; it does not replace the profile's device bindings.
- Return to the Key Sound page and save to device (Store the current settings on the device so they remain after the App disconnects or power is restored) only when you intentionally changed the profile's key sound assignments.
Confirm success
The intended album appears in the correct library, previews without an unavailable-content warning, and applies only to the selected profile. Rhythm Challenge starts with the chosen score or practice set and leaves device bindings unchanged.
Save result
Library ownership, profile application, device persistence, and Rhythm Challenge are separate. Saving to the keyboard persists profile assignments; it does not create, rename, or delete an owned album. Rhythm Challenge does not require a device save.
Limits and cautions
Availability and allowed actions come from the App. Do not infer ownership or sharing permission from an album's appearance alone.
Recovery
Cancel the preview, return to the last confirmed profile, or reapply an album that remains available in Official Sounds or My Sounds. If a removed album is no longer available, do not repeatedly overwrite the profile; restore an exported profile or contact support.
