Adjust App settings and updates

Change language, interface, notification, and general options, then check and verify an application update safely.

  1. Open Application Settings, then Interface or General.
  2. Change language, theme, or layout and confirm the current window updates as expected.
  3. Keep useful connection, save, update, and error notifications enabled. Check OS permissions if they never appear.
  4. Open About to confirm the App version. When needed, review the User Agreement, Privacy Policy, or Refund Policy in the language the App provides; close the document explicitly after reading.
  5. Open Updates and choose Check for updates. Save unfinished device settings first.
  6. Continue only when source and version are clear. Reopen the App afterward and confirm version, device list, local content, and one expected system notification.

Start with your computer

Under Application Settings > Interface, enable Auto Start in the startup settings if you want DarkBeacon App to run when you sign in to your computer. The App can refresh connected keyboard configurations while it stays in the system tray, without opening a device page. Reopen it from the tray to inspect the active profile or any message that needs attention. Background updates for the App and DB AI

Open Application Settings > Updates to check the versions shown for APP and DB AI. The DB AI component managed by DarkBeacon App checks for updates in the background after startup, periodically while running, and when the signed-in account changes. You can also use Check for updates.

Under Application Settings > Interface, enable Automatically download and install updates if you want eligible updates to install automatically. A prepared DB AI update can install silently when it is idle; busy work can defer installation. If both APP and DB AI have updates, the App update takes priority. Background checking alone does not mean an update has been installed: confirm the component version afterward. If automatic installation is off, review the available update and use the offered install action when ready.

Show Caps Lock during AI lighting

Under Application Settings > Sound & Interaction, use AI effect Caps Lock indicator to choose no response, steady white light, or breathing white light on the physical Caps Lock key while an AI effect plays. It is off by default and saved on this computer. See Adjust keyboard lighting for the exact options, brightness behavior, and supported lighting types.

View energy details

Open Account > Energy details while signed in to view your remaining energy, expiry information, and transactions. Filter by transaction category or date range, or choose Top up energy when offered. Confirm success

The selected interface and notification options are active, and the updated App opens with the expected devices and local content.

Save result

Application settings normally remain on this computer and are not written to a device. An App update is separate from a firmware update.

Limits and cautions

Recovery

Return to Application Settings and restore the previous or default option. If the App does not open after an update, stop repeated installation and submit the visible error through support.
