Set the actuation point

Choose a stable Hall-effect key activation point, test one change at a time, and recover from accidental input.

What you will accomplish

Set an actuation point (The key travel position where a Hall-effect key becomes active) that balances response and control, then verify it before keeping the change.

For gradual throttle, braking, or steering in a racing game, use Gamepad Mode and the racing setup example. Changing the actuation point alone changes when the ordinary key activates; it does not make keyboard input proportional to press depth.

  1. Open the current device and select the travel or actuation page.
  2. Start with a moderate value around the middle of the displayed range. A value near 1.5 to 2.0 mm is a practical first test when the available range includes it.
  3. Apply the value to one frequently used key or a small test group.
  4. Press deliberately, tap lightly, and rest a finger on the key. Check both missed and accidental input.
  5. Move in small steps. Test after each change instead of combining sensitivity, Rapid Trigger, and advanced behavior edits.
  6. When the result remains stable, save to device (Store the current settings on the device so they remain after the App disconnects or power is restored) and wait for success.

Confirm success

Deliberate presses are detected consistently, resting contact does not create unwanted input, and the same keys behave consistently after reconnecting.

Save result

A live travel change can take effect before it is persistent. Confirm device-save success, then reconnect once to verify retention.

Limits and cautions

Very shallow settings can produce accidental input, especially before calibration or on keys that carry finger weight. One value is not universally best for typing and games.

Recovery

Return the affected keys to the previous moderate value or restore their travel defaults. If behavior remains uneven, stop tuning and follow Calibrate Hall-effect key travel.
