Switch profiles from the App or keyboard

Switch profiles from My Profiles, configure Fn quick switching when available, and confirm the selected device state.

Applies to: Supported keyboards that show Quick switching in the App

What you will accomplish

Switch an onboard profile (A device-resident slot that stores a reusable set of supported settings) or an App-managed local profile (A reusable set of settings stored by the App on the current computer), understand that cloud sync (Upload or retrieve eligible account content over the network after signing in) is separate, then configure keyboard quick switching when the App offers it.

Steps

Steps
  1. Save or discard unfinished edits, connect the keyboard, keep the App running, and open My Profiles.
  2. Select a profile normally first. Wait for the App and keyboard to show the same active profile, then confirm its mapping, advanced keys, lighting, and Gamepad settings.
  3. For two-profile switching, open a profile card's menu and choose Set Fn+Enter. Select the other profile and review any warning before applying. The App creates the matching return shortcut in the other profile.
  4. For direct access, choose Assign Fn+number from the target profile card. Start with Fn+1 and add only the profiles you need. Choosing an occupied number exchanges the assignments shown by the App.
  5. Review the status on each profile card. A number shortcut replaces that key's existing Fn-layer function; on compact layouts this can change access to function keys.
  6. Wait for Quick switching saved. Test Fn+Enter from both profiles or each assigned Fn+number once, allowing the keyboard to reconnect if the profiles use different USB modes.
  7. For a keyboard with onboard slots, select and verify the intended slot separately. Quick switching between App-managed profiles is not the same as an offline onboard shortcut.
  8. Save to device (Store the current settings on the device so they remain after the App disconnects or power is restored) when the active profile shows a pending device save.

Confirm success

The App shows the intended active profile, every configured shortcut opens the expected target once, and mapping, lighting, Gamepad, and other supported settings match that profile.

Save result

Quick switching is stored with App-managed profile content and requires the App to be running and the keyboard to be ready. It does not turn local profiles into independent onboard slots. Device changes persist only after the relevant save reports success.

Limits and cautions

Do not assume that profiles share identical fields across models. Avoid assigning a one-way shortcut unless you can return through the App. If a profile changes the USB controller mode, expect the keyboard to reconnect before another shortcut can work.

Recovery

Return through My Profiles. To remove these shortcuts, use Clear quick switching and confirm the summary; other key settings should remain unchanged. If a profile was overwritten, apply the exported or local backup, verify it, and save again.
